i have been fascinated by floyd for some time now having read such interesting commentary by floyd bloggers. i cannot even imagine what it would be like to live in a community filled with such creative people who are so open to each other. there are many activities which encourage people to share their talents and the joyful parts of themselves. this freedom to experience oneself wholly is so healthy and life affirming. colleen shares many floyd events in her blog. floyd appears to be such a rich place to live. perhaps floyd is the living, active definition of the words "community" and "neighborhood."

my husband and i look forward to visiting when we make it up the east coast to DC and virginia. we want to see this place we read about and meet some of the people who make floyd sometimes seem magical!
