The portions of the e-mails to which you refer are being taken out of context. Did you listen to the report this week on NPR by a scientist who is often cited by those who eschew global warming? He stated that perhaps the earth might be in a (very) temporary plateau, but he is convinced that global warming is definitely a reality. He actually said that if his "name was not (whatever his name is), his name would be 'global warming.'"
Unfortunately, many U.S. citizens are so unaware of world news and scientific data, that they have an ethnocentric/egocentric perspective. The polar ice caps are melting dramatically. Huge, toxic algae blooms are in the Great Lakes, Great Britain and France. Greenland is becoming a tourist destinitation because of global warming.
Only right-wing nuts think that global warming is not happening. Broaden your perspective. Read the scientific literature related to global warming.
Or don't bother reading the scientific literature if you prefer to remain in blissful ignorance. It is happening, npo matter what you choose to believe.

Why are we so concerned about warming if nothing lives in the arctic and most of life's diversity is in the tropics?
Wouldn't we be better off spending money to deal with it, rather than pretending we could prevent it?
David says: Perhaps that's too simple and doesn't result in money passing to the right contractors. I happen to agree that warming would be less trouble than the cooling we are faced with.

yvonne, have you noticed that a study just came out pointing out that the reasons cited by the global warming hacks are actually aginst the first two laws of Physics making their argument not just implausible but IMPOSSIBLE
